Been working on an obsessive project lately that involves very early analog synths and drum machines. What makes this blog worthy in my opinion is that it marks the first time in a while that I have been constructing something quite large that is not for the borg and is intended for my own enjoyment and more importantly for making more music. Now over a hundred drum machines later and hundreds of hours in the studio I have something really fun and can sink my teeth into . . . no idea where this...

In Mexico City for a few days attending the sound:check Xpo. Great vibe, wonderful people. Wish I could stay longer. Gave a talk today on my work on Digidesign's Eleven guitar amp modeling technology and an AES paper session tomorrow on the future of algorithmic audio processing (geek out!).

That song was a trip, Bobby! Especially after today I had listened to The Beatles' "All You Need Is Love" in the morning and was in that frame of mind when I listened to "all you need is..."!
